To promote the health and well-being of the Haitian community. HAPHI is committed to working with, and for, the Haitian community in the areas of culturally appropriate health education and support, advocacy for access to care, and in creating opportunities for economic development. Programs and services include: peer-leadership program on HIV prevention for adolescents; Adult HIV education; HIV Anonymous Testing and Counseling site; Men's Health programs; Media components (radio and television); Tobacco Prevention and Education for youth and adults; Sexual Assault Prevention and Education; Chronic Disease Education and Prevention; Health Insurance Advocacy; ESL and Citizenship classes.

Caribbean U-Turn Inc, is a Mattapan-based community outreach organization that began as a project with Boston University's school of social work(BUSSW) in 1989. Recognizing the severe impact of substance abuse within the Caribbean community in Boston.
Caribbean U-Turn Inc's, current mission still embraces its foundation but is further dedicated to educated citizens of urban Massachusetts not only about substance abuse but HIV/AIDS, Gang Violence and provide tutoring, mentoring, social and spiritual awareness to effect change. Caribbean U-Turn is a private non-profit community-based organization located in Mattapan that works with but is not exclusive to Caribbean individuals and families.
